Objectives

After completion of the course, the participants shall be able to use Microsoft Office packages i.e. MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point, Internet and Email in their daily work.

  • History of computer

  • Generation of computer

  • Data processing and overview of disk operating system 

Disk Operating System (DOS) I WINDOWS XP

  • Definition of DOS / Windows / Windows installation

  • Memory and its type

  • Internal and external commands

  • Usage of internal and external commands and DOS editors 

Microsoft Word

File:

  • New, open close, close all, save, save as, save all, page setup, print preview. print, send to properties

  • Edit Undo, redo, cut, copy, paste, clear, select all, find, replace, go to.

View:

  • Normal, Outline page layout, tool bars, ruler, header & footer, footnotes, comments, full screen, zoom

Insert:

  • Break, page numbers, date & time, auto text, symbol, comment, footnote, picture, text box, file, object, bookmark and hyper link

Format:

  • Font, paragraph, bullets & numbers, borders & shading, columns, tabs text, direction, change case, style gallery, back ground. 

Tools:

  • Spelling & grammar language, word count, auto correct, mail merge, Envelops and labels
